A modern wrap around extension housing a comfortable living area and utility in Glasgow's West End.

The Challenge

Working alongside John Gilbert Architects we were awarded the contract to build a new wrap around extension for Sarah and Rod. This involved the formation of new structural openings and the construction of a new extension which included a light and bright garden room alongside a utility and boot room.

The Solution

We developed an online mood board for our clients and worked alongside them to plan the interior and lighting. The palette is very simple and we chose feature lighting to enhance the natural feel of the spaces. Light floods into the rooms through skylights, windows and bifolding doors and the room has a direct connection with the garden.

The Results

Sarah and Rod now have a room which is great to use in all year round where they can watch the seasonal changes and entertain friends and family.

One hears so many horror stories about builders these days but working with nest was the complete opposite. Dene was regularly on site to check on how things were going. The team were there every day and displayed high quality workmanship as well as being good company - we missed them when they were finished!

The project was on time and that accounted for a couple of minor changes agreed with nest. We were kept well informed about progress throughout and Dene’s keen eye for good design helped the finished product exceed our expectations.  

It is a beautiful additional space to our home that seems to fit seamlessly with the rest of our house. We are delighted and our thanks to Dene and the team at nest for making the extension a stress free experience.
