Contemporary home renovation

Working with our client's plans, we created a new dormer window in their attic and transformed their kitchen with amazing new bi-folds.

The Challenge

Working to a very tight deadline, we were asked to supply and fit 5m wide bi-folding doors to Jane and Lorne's kitchen area. They were looking for a dormer window in their children's bedroom maximising the internal space. They asked us to assist with the design and layout of their family room and kid's bedroom.

The Solution

We removed a large external wall and inserted new steel beams in the new family dining area. As soon as the beams were installed our joiners fitted the new bi-folding doors. Upstairs, we opened up the pitched roof and installed new timbers window and roof to create a large dormer in the children's bedroom.

The Results

The family dining area is now flooded with light and Lorne and Jane love the way the space connects immediately with the garden area. Similarly, their children's bedroom is bright and airy and painted in soft baby blue tones.

We liked nest from the start - their approach and attitude was different to other builders. They could not have been more helpful throughout the project and made useful recommendations on materials and decor when required - which made the process easier for us. 

Their workmen were hard working and pleasant to deal with and took pride in their work.
